The Cedars of Lebanon MMS project was introduced to Electro Systems in early 1967 when Cedars' Administrator S.A. Bronstein introduced himself to Ron Meyer and expressed his interest in acquiring (leasing) an 8-bed ICU/MMS.

There followed a series of negotiations that concluded with the establishment of a joint venture that partnered Electro-Systems with Miami based Garrett Construction and the hospital architects of Iov Korach Architects. The latter two companies had been closely associated with the building program of the hospital.
